Fall trip to Switzerland
Day 1 Arrival in Flüeli
During the outward journey, we take a break for lunch in Feldkirch. We then continue to Lake Zurich, where we can stretch our legs a little before continuing on to the hotel.
Day 2 Lucerne with Pilatus
After breakfast, we meet a local tour guide who accompanies us to Lucerne. Embedded in the impressive mountain panorama
of the nearby excursion mountains Rigi, Pilatus or Stanserhorn, the town lies on the
Lake Lucerne and forms the gateway to Central Switzerland. The covered, medieval Chapel Bridge, which is considered one of the oldest covered wooden bridges in Europe with its gable paintings, characterizes Lucerne’s cityscape. Historic houses decorated with frescoes line the picturesque squares of the old town.
The boat takes you from Lucerne to Alpnachstad. When you arrive in Alpnachstad, change to the train. Take the world’s steepest cogwheel railroad up to Pilatus Kulm. It climbs the path meter by meter, past flowering alpine meadows and striking rock formations. Maximum-sized glass fronts in the new cars provide a 360-degree panoramic view and an even more spectacular driving experience. After a lunch break, take the “Dragon Ride” cable car back down the other side and marvel once again at the mountain scenery.
Day 3Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau
In the morning you change from the bus back onto a cogwheel train and your excursion into the world of the Bernese Oberland’s most famous peaks begins. Through idyllic landscapes you reach Kleine Scheidegg, right at the foot of the world-famous Eiger North Face. We will have lunch together here. Continue past the Eiger Glacier station to the Jungfraujoch – the highest railroad station in Europe. The wonderful world of eternal snow and ice lies at your feet. We visit the ice palace with
the ice sculptures and experience the breathtaking panorama over the Aletsch Glacier from the Sphinx viewing terrace. The incomparable view of the glacier and the world of the four-thousand-meter peaks will inspire you. Then descend and return to the hotel.
Day 4 Pass trip
After breakfast, we set off on a drive over the most beautiful Swiss Alpine passes to our hotel in Laax.
Day 5 Journey home
The journey home takes us via St. Moritz. Of course there will be plenty of breaks.
