Discover South Tyrol – Between Vineyards and the Alps
Day 1 – Arrival & Exploring Bolzano
Your journey begins in Pongau and Pinzgau, traveling south via the Brenner Autobahn towards South Tyrol. En route, you will take a leisurely lunch break before reaching Bolzano in the early afternoon. There, you will have ample time to stroll through the city, linger in the squares, or enjoy the southern flair. Afterward, you will continue to your Hotel Teutschhaus in Kurtinig, perfectly located on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. After checking in, you will enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 – Winery, Lakes & Merano
After breakfast, an exciting tour of the hotel’s own fruit and vineyard awaits you, where you will learn a lot about the cultivation and refinement of regional products. Afterward, you will embark on a beautiful tour along Lago Santa Giustina to Cles, where you will take a lunch break together.
Your route continues over the Gampen Pass, past Lana and into the charming spa town of Merano. In the afternoon, you will have free time: stroll through the elegant arcades, discover small boutiques, or enjoy an ice cream in the sun.
Back at the hotel, a fine dinner awaits you, followed by a special highlight: a guided tasting of the hotel’s own wines (4 varieties) accompanied by Schüttelbrot (crisp bread).
Day 3 – Return journey via the Penser Joch
Today you will start your journey home and drive over the impressive Penser Joch to Sterzing. Here you will have time for a lunch break and for small purchases in the pretty streets of the old town. Through the Puster Valley, you continue towards East Tyrol, where you will take another break in Lienz before finally returning to the Pinzgau and Pongau – with many beautiful impressions of South Tyrol in your luggage.
