Day 1: Arrival to historical and idyllic highlights
Your journey begins with a drive past the picturesque Lake Walchsee over the Tatzlwurm, to Ettal Monastery, where a hearty lunch awaits you. Refreshed, you’ll visit the magnificent Linderhof Palace in the afternoon. During an exciting guided tour and a cozy coffee break, you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of this fairy-tale castle. Later, you’ll continue to Oberammergau, where you can explore the picturesque old town with its painted facades during a short stay. Afterwards, you’ll make a stop at the impressive Wieskirche (Pilgrimage Church of Wies) in Steingaden before reaching your hotel in Füssen and ending the day relaxing.
Day 2: Neuschwanstein Castle and journey home
In the morning, another highlight is on the agenda: a visit to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. You’ll immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the fairy-tale king Ludwig II. After this unforgettable experience, you’ll start your journey home. Stops will be made for meals and coffee breaks.
