New Year’s Eve Magic in Croatia
1st Day: Arrival
The journey starts relaxed with well-deserved breaks on the way to our destination in Opatija. After arriving at the hotel, we check into our comfortable rooms and then have some time to take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque promenade. We end the day with a delicious dinner at the hotel.
2nd Day: City Tour of Opatija and New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Hotel
This morning we discover the charming Opatija on a guided walk. Surrounded by lush nature and due to its mild climate, the place has earned its reputation as the ‘Nice of Croatia’. Once a small fishing village, Opatija gained popularity as a fashionable spa resort during the Habsburg era. The elegant villas and magnificent gardens that characterize the place invite you to take a stroll. In the evening, we enjoy a festive New Year’s Eve buffet with live music and celebrate the new year in high spirits.
3rd Day: Moscenice and Wine Tasting in Pićan
Today we explore the picturesque Moscenice, a charming town with only 500 inhabitants, perched high above the Kvarner Bay. With the ‘Mayor’, we discover the gem, which delights with narrow streets and the ethnographic museum that houses a 400-year-old olive press. From the ‘Perun’ restaurant, we enjoy a magnificent view of the UÄŤka mountain range and the coast. Afterwards, we visit one of the best wineries in Istria in Pićan, where we sample exquisite ‘Pršut’, Istrian cheese, and delicious wines during a tour – accompanied by the music of a Croatian accordion player.
Day 4: Return Journey
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, our unforgettable New Year’s trip comes to an end. With many beautiful memories in our luggage, we begin our journey home.
